Lying with video. Researchers at MIT have created videos of people uttering sentences they never said that consistently fool viewers and are accepted by them as real. Once upon a time, it was a lot harder to be false with film, but whether the medium will be in any way trustworthy going forward seems doubtful. What will it mean when you can't even believe your own eyes?

How do you design?. "I was wondering how other designers come up with the sites you do. I usually use photoshop and just start designing elements. I thought about sketches on a piece of paper first, but it seems to just take longer than. Any thoughts?"

An Interview with John Weir. The International Herald Tribune debuted several months ago with a little fanfare in the web design community, though it is one of the most innovative approaches yet for a traditional newspaper's online presence...
IHT is god-like in its advanced use of every high-end design trick. Way, way, cool. I think I talked about it in the book, but it got cut for space reasons, not importance reasons.
